Safety briefing
Essential viewing for go karting safety
You need to watch the safety video to the end (only 6 minutes) before you can race.
Before you race
All drivers must attend a safety briefing and view the National Karting Association safety video. The briefing is online, so you can watch it before you arrive and pre register electronically.
Wearing a balaclava is mandatory if you use one of our helmets. You can buy a reusable cotton balaclava and gloves on arrival, or bring your own.
Watch it before you leave home and you will be on track sooner. Kart club members skip the video on repeat visits.
Do I need to wear a balaclava?
Following coronavirus we made balaclavas mandatory. If you are wearing one of our helmets you will need a balaclava. You can buy a reusable cotton balaclava and gloves on arrival, or use your own. If you bring your own helmet it is your choice.
When should I arrive at the circuit?
You will be given an arrival time when booking. For events this is 1 hour before your track time, for practice sessions 45 minutes beforehand. If you arrive after this time, even by 5 minutes, it may affect your time on the circuit. If you are more than 10 to 15 minutes late you may lose your slot altogether. If you are late you will not receive a refund under any circumstance.
