Brentwood

Over 25 years of kart racing at Brentwood

Brentwood Go Karting opened on 1 May 1994 as an off road kart circuit and has since had two circuit upgrades. The first changed it to an all weather tarmac surface to guarantee year round racing. The latest, in 2006, boosted the circuit from 5m wide and 250m long to a massive 8m wide and 825m long.

The circuit is very quick and smooth to drive, with only one corner requiring firm braking. The layout is perfectly suited to first timers, yet it is a real challenge to set a good lap time. It offers numerous racing lines and plenty of overtaking opportunities.

The karts

We run a large fleet of the very latest class leading 200cc cadet and 270cc race Sodikarts, designed and built specifically for Brentwood and serviced and maintained to a meticulous standard.

Uniformity is a priority. The karts are tested and tweaked to within four tenths of a second of each other. They are quick, and the handling and set up is sharp and precise. With full wraparound bumpers and inbuilt speed restriction units, these really are the pinnacle of excitement and safety.

Practice, race or party

Book some practice laps, join an organised race event, or book your own exclusive party. Whatever the number or reason for your get together, we can tailor an event to suit your requirements and budget.

Safety first

We have a fantastic safety record. We are members of the National Karting Association and follow their strict guidelines for set up and operation. We are subject to an annual inspection as well as random spot checks throughout the year.

We do everything we can to make sure you have an experience that is competitive and hugely fun, yet safe and organised.

Great facilities

Brentwood Karting is part of the larger Brentwood Leisure Park complex, alongside Laser Warfare (outdoor woodland laser combat), a dry ski slope, a golf driving range and the Izumi oriental restaurant.

Set in 57 acres of woodland, it is a stunning location for a day out with family, colleagues or friends. Easily accessed from Kent and London via the M25 or A12, it has one of the largest, widest and fastest go karting circuits in the South, and it is one of the best equipped.

On site catering means you can snack while you are karting, then hop over to the Chinese buffet for a well earned meal. If you still have the energy, try Laser Warfare in the surrounding woodland, or skiing, snowboarding or tubing on the dry ski slope. For the less energetic, hit some golf balls on the driving range.

If you want to cheer your friends on trackside, do so from the ground floor covered spectator area.

Lakeside

The longest, fastest and most exciting karting in Essex since 2002

Lakeside Karting was established in 2002 after the success of our sister circuit, Brentwood Karting. The circuit is 900m long and 6m wide, and with a range of cambers and undulation it offers an exciting mix of flat out straights, flowing corners, two hairpin bends and the thrilling Devil's Drop. It is a real test for even the most experienced drivers, and a quick lap here takes considerable practice.

For serious racers we run a fleet of 30 of the very latest class leading 390cc Sodikarts, designed and built specifically for our circuit and serviced and maintained to a meticulous standard. They are tested and tweaked to within four tenths of a second of each other. With full wraparound bumpers and inbuilt speed restriction units, they are the pinnacle of excitement and safety.

With electric fun karts for 3 to 7 year olds, 200cc cadets for 8 to 13 year olds, 200cc adult racers up to 50mph and 70mph 390cc racers for 14 and over, there is something for the whole family.

Book some practice laps, join an organised race event, or book your own exclusive party. Whatever the number or reason for your get together, we can tailor an event to suit your requirements and budget.

Great facilities

Lakeside Karting has one of the largest and fastest go karting circuits in the South, easily accessed from Kent and London, and it is one of the best equipped.

The air conditioned conference suite and briefing room is served by a spacious diner with on site catering. If you are not out on the circuit, try your luck on the gaming machines. A large undercover viewing balcony overlooks the whole track, there are individual changing facilities for men and women, and you can cheer your friends on from the ground floor spectator area.
